Since 2017, volunteers have gathered to create handmade quilts carrying handwritten messages of hope for people experiencing homelessness across Los Angeles.

Every stitch tells someone they matter.

Founder story

Love Quilts began after founder Lilian Raven experienced a season of homelessness herself.

She understands how quickly circumstances can change—and how powerful it is to know someone still sees you.

Since 2017, Love Quilts has been turning fabric into hope.

"When you're in the depths of despair receiving a custom quilt with a message of hope would really do something for the psyche."

Before every quilt reaches someone in need, it receives its final stitch—a Love Quilts label. On the reverse is Joshua 1:9, a reminder to be strong and courageous. For many, it is a quiet message of hope tucked into something made with love.
